Buddhism
Buddhism was founded by Prince Gautama of India. He didn't like all the pain and suffering in the world, so he stopped being a prince to become a monk and try to find and understand the meaning of life. Prince Gautama spent six years searching for the true meaning of life and when he found it he was known as Buddha, the awaken one. In Buddhism they believe that life is filled with suffering and that suffering is caused by people's want. They also believe suffering can be ended if people stopped wanting things that are needed. They believe in the four noble truths and the eight fold path. They also believe in re-carnation once u die you are reborn in another body. After death there is also Nirvana, when you are complete peace with the world. Their motto is the golden rule, do to others as you would want others to do to you.
Confucianism
Confucianism was founded by Kung Fu Zi but called Confucious by the Europeans. In Confucianism they believe in proper etiquette, respect, hard work, and education. They think if everyone did this then things in the world would be at peace. The believed that if we all demonstrated loyalty, honesty, faith, and obedience everything would be in harmony. All rulers should have good morals. Lastly they believe to worship your elders. After death they believe you go to heaven but they don't think about death or what will happen. They live life worry free. The motto is the gold rule, do to others as you want others to do to you.
Taoism
Taoism was found by Laozi. Taoist believe in a simple life, people shouldn't want to have fame, power ect. People should desire joy, laughter, and peace. You should be in peace with nature. They believe that laws and rules make people act worse. Harmony is represented by yin and yang which represents balance in the universe. People shouldnt worry about death so they don't think about the after life. Their motto is to keep it simple, just be.
